Bamboo Charcoal Bread is the recent craze in Malaysia (hmm...probably not very recent coz it has been on the market since last year). My mum told me it's quite difficult to buy coz normally people will just snatch a few packets away the moment these breads are fresh out of the oven. Anyway, my mum managed to grab one packet from the shelf and 3 thick black slices of bread cost RM$3.50. The colour was not very apetizing already so I can't imagine what the taste would be like. According to those seller, these bread was suppose to be good for us. In Japan, most eatery will put 1 or 2 pieces of charcoal into their water jug. So I guess it does have some health benefit to us. Out of curiousity, I took one slice of the gross looking bread & it tasted soft & yummy.
