Tuesday's Thoughts : Twenty Questions

Joining MummyMoo's Tuesday Linky Party, here are the answers about my 1st pregnancy :)

1. Was your pregnancy planned, and how old were you?
Sort of. We wanted to try for a baby after our customary wedding and I was 28.

2. What were your reaction?
A bit shocked at first after I saw the result on the test kit. My mum accompanied me to see a gynae to confirm about my pregnancy.

3. How did you find out you were pregnant?
Actually I did not realised I was pregnant because my menses never come on the dot every month & I stopped taking the pill one month before my customary wedding day. I was losing quite a bit of weight & menses never came, that was when my mum alerted me that I might be pregnant.

4. Who did you tell first?
Obviously, my mum knew it first coz she was with me during the appointment & my hubby was working in Japan at that time.

5. Did you find out the sex?
Yes. At 20 weeks so that I could start my shopping spree for the baby.

6. Did you have morning sickness?
Nope.

7.What did you crave?
Burgers, fries, soft drinks, soya bean milk.

8. Who / What irritated you the most?
None.

9. Did you wish you had a different gender from what you obtained?
Actually, I was hoping for a girl coz all the baby girl's clothing looked so cute..but I guess the older generation might prefer a boy since they don't bluntly said it in front of you :P

10. How many kilos did you gain during the entire pregnancy?
I gained a total of 18kg when I was about to deliver.

11. Where did you think the baby was conceived?
In Osaka Japan where my hubby was posted there for work.

12. Did you have any complications during the pregnancy?
Nope.

13. Where did you give birth?
TMC.

14. How many hours were you in labour?
None.

15. Who watched you give birth?
Whoever was in the operating theatre.

16. Was it natural, or C-Sect?
Elective C-Sect.

17. Did you take medication to ease the pain?
Only what they administered after I came to. Stopped the painkillers when that bag's done.

18. When was your child born?
6 Sept 2005

19. What is his / her name?
His name is Lim Yan Shang.

20. How old is he today?
He is turning 8 this year.
