Candid Family Moments In Pictures

The last time we had a decent family photography session was 2 years ago. I thought we would be able to do it again last year but we kept on postponing the chance for a photoshoot due to some reason. When Natsuki Photography offered us the chance for an outdoor family photo shoot, we were so delighted. 

Having our 1st outdoor photoshoot, we decided to go to Marina Barrage (chosen from some of the options suggested by the photographer). Initially I was quite worried as the weather was cloudy & it rained for a while. Luckily, the rain started to stop when we were about to start taking photos.

During the photoshoot, we were all clueless on how to pose in front of the camera. The photographer asked us to be as natural as possible & interacted with our kids like how we usually did. The children were the ones that warmed up pretty fast in front of the camera. They would do silly actions and chased after each other.

Being able to capture the children's precious moments by a professional photographer is definitely better than me trying to do it using my mobile phone. The high resolution pictures & good photography skill from the photographer will produce perfect images that will last a lifetime in our memories.   

Here are some tips before the photography session:
# Try to plan a colour dress code to wear for the family.
# Let the children take a short nap beforehand so that they will feel refresh & energetic during the photography session.
# Prepare some water and tidbits (the children might feel thirsty or hungry during the process).
# Bring along an extra clothing or undergarment (in case the children accidentally dirty themselves).
# For myself, I make it a point to put on facial mask the day before the photoshoot so that my skin will look more radiant with or without make-up.

Overall, we are very pleased with our photographs and I can visualise some of the pictures will be sent for printing & hang up on the wall in our new home next year :)

Brief intro about the photographer:
Natsuki is a female photographer specialising in babies/children, family, friendship, couple and party shoots. Few years ago, she started taking photos of her niece. Eventually this hobby became something more. She continued to venture into other types of photography such as productions. Her photography style is often soft and dreamy and in shades of pastels. She believe that to take a good photos depends not just on technical abilities but also relies on the context and story one wishes to convey in the photo. She enjoys capturing the moment which her subject is the most natural. That is why she love taking photos of kids who never hides their feelings.
