Steamed Milk Cake

What did I do when I had so much milk stocked up in the fridge? I decided to google for milk related recipes which are simple & healthy for me to prepare. I'm quite impressed with the final product because its so easy, nothing could go wrong :)

STEAMED MILK CAKE / KUEH
Why did I say kueh? Because some of my cake turned out looking like "huat kueh" (with openings on the top). I got thumbs up from my family so I will be doing more for them in other variations.

These are the successful ones that looked more presentable.

My "huat kueh" version of the steamed milk cake

Ingredients:
170gm fresh milk
75gm sugar
100gm cake flour
20gm rice flour
2 tsp double-action baking powder

Method:
-Whisk the fresh milk with sugar until dissolved.
-Add in the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
-Spoon into the small cups lines with paper cups.
-Steam at high heat for 15 minutes or until cooked.
Note: Its better to warm up the steamer beforehand.

    1. Yes, I did sieve the flour directly into the milk & sugar (after whisking)
