This year YQ's birthday falls on the same day as Father's Day so we had a double celebration. We had a quick and small celebration at the in-law's place and brought her to a themed cafe for dinner. Recently, they are crazy about Gudetama so I decided to surprise them secretly by making a reservation at the Gudetama Cafe.
Grandma will make 2 red eggs + 1 red packet without fail.
After the first disaster order from a home baker 6 years ago for Junior YS's 1st-year birthday party, I have totally avoided ordering from home baker ever since. Until recently, I saw some fave reviews online and decided to take the risk and ordered from this home baker. Oh boy, we fell in love with her creativity and also her yummy steamed cakes.The moment I opened the cake box, all the kids were going crazy with the cute cake designs. I am going to order more from her this year for sure :)

I made a reservation a few days before YQ's birthday and I kept it a secret from everyone else (except the hub). I knew the secret will somehow leak out if I tell any of her siblings. You can imagine the surprised expressions from them when we reached the destination.

We ordered the family platter to share, the food was not very fantastic but maybe we should try to order other main courses next time. I heard that their breakfast set is worth trying though.
We topped up $10 to include these 2 drinks.
My favourite was their dessert range. No doubt its quite sweet but nice.
We ordered their waffles for dessert too.
When you have nothing to do while waiting for food, go and take more pictures.
Their seatings also come in egg shell shape.
